Development Director, Full-time

Build a creative fundraising strategy for the organization. Perform functions related to fundraising, donor stewardship, and the prospecting, development, and solicitation of new funding sources. Create and implement plans and develop systems to secure and grow the resources necessary to achieve the mission and vision of the organization.

Expected hire date: ASAP.

Work schedule: Monday-Friday during normal business hours onsite in Alexandria, VA, occasional Sundays for church partner visits, and occasionally evenings for family engagement events. Hybrid work environment.

Salary range: $75,000- $95,000, commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Health insurance benefits, short-term disability, paid-time-off, paid holidays, parental
leave, and sabbatical (employees are eligible for a sabbatical after seven years of service to the
organization pending approval from the Executive Director and board of directors).

Program Assistant Coordinator (Local Leader), part-time 20 hours/week

Perform duties to provide assistance to the Director of Elementary Learning and Leadership in the execution of daily program activities. Assist in the development of program activities, behavior management, and the supervision and safety of children participating in all elementary programs, working within the limits of prescribed routines. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), a team-player who excels in creative problem-solving, has experienced working with children in marginalized contexts, is detail-oriented and is committed to the values of our organization.

Work schedule: Onsite in Alexandria, VA. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 2-6pm, Tuesday and Thursday 1-5pm. While occasional evenings and weekends are required, we offer flexibility in scheduling to ensure our team members have time to recharge and pursue personal interests.

Salary begins at: $16/hour.

As a non-profit, we rely on the community for assisting program directors on-site, being mentors, supplying the needs of our food pantry, and everything in between.
