  • Connect Casa Chiri to your church or congregation

    ongoing

A large part of what we are doing in Alexandria, and the surrounding community, is trying to unite the body of Christ through involvement with Casa Chirilagua. It is our hope that the Lord will use us to connect the immigrant community and the local church body. We are looking for opportunities to share our story in services, sunday school classes, and small groups. Please contact Dawnielle (dawnielle@casachirilagua.org) if you would like her to meet with your church leadership or have her speak at a gathering at your place of worship.

  • Host a “Story for 10″

    Ongoing

Here is how it works. You invite 10 friends who would be interested in Casa Chirilagua and might be encouraged by our stories. You will provide the location, a group of friends, and a some nibbles (brunch, lunch, dinner or coffee and desserts…whatever your heart desires). We will show up, get to know your friends, share what is happening in our lives and community, and offer an opportunity to get involved. If you are interested, please contact Dawnielle (dawnielle@casachirilagua.org) to schedule a date for “Story for 10″.

  • Extra-curricular/ Sports Coordinator

    ongoing

We have many kids in the neighborhood who would love to be involved in sports, dance, music or art classes but their parents are unable to connect them due to work commitments, lack of transportation or lack of knowledge of the programs available. We all know what an important role these activities play in the personal and educational development of a child (and how they occupy time in a positive way). We need a volunteer who is willing to find out what opportunities are out there in the city of Alexandria, get kids signed up, communicate expectations to parents and children and talk to other parents in the community to see if they can help offer rides to practices and game/performances/events. Let us know if you are interested in helping make these opportunities a reality for kids in our neighborhood by emailing us at info@casachirilagua.org
